The implementation of the Agreement formalizes the relationship and provides a framework within which the two institutions work and is centered on the delivery of a Collaborative Joint Degree Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
The agreement is for a period of six years signed on the 25th of may 2023 and will be subjected to review and renewal taking account of students already registered on the programme.

The (NAQAAE) works to Support the capacities of Educational Institutes for self-evaluation and comprehensively evaluating Educational Institutes / Programmes against benchmarks and approved standards.

The University of Manchester works with the UK’s. (QAA) is the independent body that checks on standards and quality in UK higher education. It conducts quality assessment reviews, develops reference points and guidance for providers, and conduct.

QAA checks how universities, colleges and alternative providers of UK higher education maintain their academic standards and quality. It does this through external peer review and Reviewers check that the 19 expectations of the Quality Code, agreed and recognised by the UK higher education sector, are met.

Alexandria University works with the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE”. The NAQAAE is an independent public authority as stipulated by article “1” of the law 82 -year 2006. (naqaae.com). The NAQAAE works to Support the capacities of Educational Institutes for self-evaluation and comprehensively evaluating Educational Institutes / Programmes against benchmarks and approved standards. The NAQAAE is responsible of setting quality and accreditation standards and benchmarks for educational institutions and educational programmes. These benchmarks are reviewed every five years at most or when necessary. They carry external peer review visits for institutions to evaluate the implementation of set standards and meeting quality expectations. National accreditation certificate is awarded to institutions that meet the required standards and it is valid for five years. Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry was awarded the accreditation certificate in 2017 and this was renewed in 2021.
