Students Admissions

Students will apply to the programme using Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry’s central admissions system via Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry UoM/UoA joint award admission site and successful students will be selected jointly by both universities.

Potential candidates for the programme will be interviewed using the University of Manchester’s existing methods and interviews will take place at Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry.

Interviews will be conducted by the relevant staff at Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry with University of Manchester colleagues in attendance if required.

Accepted students will be expected to register and pay their fees to both the University of Manchester and Alexandria University within the 2 week’s registration period beyond the academic year.
Registration Requirements
As mentioned above, students of this programme will register with both the University of Manchester and Alexandria University and all instances of data sharing between the two institutions will be subject to both the UK’s Data Protection Act 2018 and the relevant parallel legislation in Egypt.

English Language Requirements
The English Language requirements for students on this programme are set out:
- National high school students should have a minimum score of 6.5 overall with 6.5 of IELTS in each component.
- IGCSE Students will be required to have O-Level English at Grade B or above.
- American Diploma students with SAT/ACT should achieve result B (with English and math offered in Year 12) is a must.
The student must bring the nomination card (TANSIK) obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education stating that he/she has been accepted into one of the dental colleges in Egypt.
The student must pass the admission test set by the programme to determine the ability of students to deal with difficult situations and know his/her hobbies and interests.
Original Documents must be submitted stamped and legalized in English language to the administration office during the admission period and must fulfill the financial requirements.
Faculty Of Dentistry
Orientation
Students who have been offered a place and accepted in the programme will be invited to attend a series of induction activities that will take place at Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry in September each year. The content of the induction activities is agreed by both institutions and relevant staff from the University of Manchester will be present at these events where necessary and where possible.
